Yiannis Efstathiou

Yiannis Eustathiou was born and grew up in Piraeus and Athens, Greece. From a young age he worked in clubs there as a drummer, playing both traditional Greek dance music and international pop music (Deep Purple was a favorite). Marriage to a US-American and the lure of Hollywood drew him to California, and then eventually to Houston, where he composed music and performed for theater and dance projects as well as in bands.

Yiannis is a musician and percussionist who has produced his own music, collaborated with a number of recording artists and can be heard on numerous records/CDs, and in the 1980s and 1990s joined live performance projects and was introduced to AlienNation Co. by composer Stephen Paré.

Yiannis subsequently participated in several theatrical performances and installations created by AlienNation Co.

He later on left Texas and moved to Europe with his scientist partner. He now lives in Antibes, France.
