video poem based on the documentary filming, by Johannes Birringer, of the event of the River Pierce orchestrated by artist Michael Tracy.

Tracy’s Cruz: La Pasíon on mule driven cart is taken to the river (Rio Bravo/Rio Grande) dividing the southern border of Texas from Mexico. Children carry the Virgen image (on the left of the video still below), ‚mud people‘ preparing fire on the right. The performance ritual was created by Michael Tracy.
